1. Using the site

SinsAuthor.ca is an author and creative-universe website for books, stories, lore, characters, media, games, development updates, promotions, and related creative projects. You may browse the site for personal, lawful, non-commercial use.

You may not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or copy substantial parts of the site for republication, bypass access controls, distribute malicious code, impersonate SinsAuthor/B.A. Sins, or use the site in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

2. Age-restricted and After Dark content

Some areas are clearly marked 18+ or After Dark and may contain mature or explicit fictional content. Those areas are intended only for adults who are legally permitted to access that material where they live.

The Library uses a browser-session age gate. Selecting “I am 18 or older” is your representation that you meet the stated age requirement. The age gate is not identity verification and does not replace your responsibility to follow local law.

3. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the stories, characters, worldbuilding, artwork, graphics, branding, logos, videos, game concepts, site design, and original written material on this website are owned by or licensed to B.A. Sins / SinsAuthors Universe™ and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Deadly Dutch High™, SinsAuthors Universe™, related series identities, and associated original characters and lore are not placed into the public domain by being displayed on this site.

You may link to public pages and share ordinary social-media links or excerpts that are legally permitted. You may not reproduce, sell, republish, train or build a commercial dataset from, adapt, remove attribution from, or commercially exploit protected site content without permission unless a separate licence expressly allows it.

4. Purchases, memberships, downloads, and crowdfunding

SinsAuthor.ca currently links visitors to third-party services such as Patreon, Books2Read, Amazon, and other platforms for purchases, memberships, distribution, or supporter content. Unless a page expressly says otherwise, payment is completed on the third party’s service rather than on SinsAuthor.ca.

Prices, taxes, currencies, availability, download access, refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, and fulfilment for third-party transactions are governed by the terms and policies of the service that processes the transaction.

Future crowdfunding or campaign pages may link to an external crowdfunding platform. Any such campaign may also have project-specific rewards, deadlines, risks, fulfilment terms, and official campaign rules that supplement these Terms.

5. Third-party websites and platforms

The site may link to Patreon, Books2Read, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook, Stage 32, X, Steam, crowdfunding platforms, and other services. Those services are independent of SinsAuthor.ca and have their own terms, privacy practices, availability, and moderation rules.

A link or reference does not mean SinsAuthor controls the third-party service. You should review the terms and privacy policy of the service you choose to use.

6. Site events, hunts, games, and promotions

The website may include hidden collectibles, seasonal effects, story events, browser activities, demos, prototypes, or other interactive features. Unless an event is accompanied by separate official rules stating that prizes are available, these features are for entertainment only and have no cash value.

Any future contest, giveaway, or prize promotion will be subject to separate eligibility and official rules. Game builds, demos, development screenshots, release windows, and feature descriptions may change during development.

7. Availability, accuracy, and disclaimers

The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. Creative projects change during development, and release dates, titles, artwork, features, pricing, links, and availability may be revised without notice.

Fictional stories and characters are creative works. References to real places, history, folklore, or institutions may be adapted for storytelling and should not be treated as factual, professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SinsAuthor and B.A. Sins are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of the site, inability to access it, or reliance on third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Changes, governing law, and contact

These Terms may be updated as the website adds new services, games, stores, campaigns, community features, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date above will change when the Terms are materially revised.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that may apply where you live.
